Primark, Bristol

A team of 25 specialists pulled out all the stops to complete this project in time for the summer sales period after a 6 month on site engagement. Some smart new features in the 100,000 sq ft sales space include a Dalziel and Pow designed stack of illuminated turquoise, white, brown and grey blocks at the entrance. A range of luminaries was installed, including glim cube units at the front end of the building, lighters to wash the exterior walls, and special batten feature lights to illuminate the facade at night. The sheer size of the building – encompassing eight floors, four of which are sales areas – marked Primark Bristol out as a uniquely challenging undertaking for the company.
